Maria,4 b. 24 May 1699; d. in Sandwich 18 Jan. 1725/6; m. there, 3 Jan. 1722/3, John4 Freeman, b. there 12 June 1693, d. there 22 June 1761, son of Edmund3 and Sarah Freeman. Their only child, John Freeman. b. about 1724, is named in his grandfather Bourne's will. Frederick Freeman in his Freeman Genealogy, 1875, p. 47, fails to make clear that this second wife, Maria, was the mother of John.5 The present writers in an article, "Ezra Perry of Sandwich, Mass.," wrongly assumed that this son.
