Elisha4 Bourne (Nathan,3 Elisha,2 Richard1), born 27 Jan. 1711, died in Sandwich 14 Sept. 1745.

He married about 1739 Mary4 Nye, born there 26 April 1718, daughter of Nathan3 and Dorothy (Bryant) Nye.

The will, dated 14 Nov. 1747, of Nathan3 Nye of Sandwich, gives £100 to "my daughter Mary Bourne" (Barnstable County Probate). Her brother, Stephen Nye, married Maria5 Bourne (see above). Elisha4 Bourne, "late of Sandwich, gentleman, de­ceased," died intestate, and his father was appointed administra­tor 22 Jan. 1745 (ibid., vol. 7, p. 15). An accounting by Nathan Bourne, 6 Sept. 1754, charges £200. "for necessaries allowed to the widow for her support and providing for the two children, there being no income from the Real Estate." Amounts paid by the estate include: "To Nathan Nye £80. 3s. I0d.; to Ebenezer Perry £59. 19s. 5d.; To Timothy Perry £21. 4s. 8d.; To Nathan Nye £12. 5s.; To John Bourne £26.; To Gideon Ellis £7. 5s.; To Silvanus Gibbs £1. 2s., and to Loss by death of one of the servants, by sickness £40."
