OZIAS4 PERRY (Eliakim,3 Benjamin,2 Ezra1), born 20 June 1757, died probably in Cayuga County, N. Y., after 1807. He married probably in the vicinity of Tinmouth, Vt., about 1785, ESTHER MARVIN, born 8 Sept. 1764, daughter of Capt. Benjamin and Mehitable (Marvin) Marvin of Norwalk, Conn., and Franklin County, Vt., where her father died in 1822 (G. F. Marvin, The Descendants of Reinold and Matthew Marvin, 1904, p. 359).
Mrs. Bristol (op. cit.) says Ozias Perry enlisted from Bennington in the Revolution. He probably bought land in Tinmouth about 1777, when his brother bought property in nearby Middletown, Vt. Ozias is listed in Tinmouth in the 1790 Census, when he was head of a household of 1 male over 16, 1 under 16 and 4 females. Mrs. G. B. Arner (New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, vol. 77, p. 66) states that the family removed to Cayuga County, N. Y.
