General Notes: Elizabeth Warner was Jonathan’s second wife. He married his first, Rachel Mudge, on 16 Oct 1760. Of this union, twins were born, Frederick and Rachel, on 17 Nov 1762. Rachel Mudge died in 1762, probably from complications of childbirth. Jonathan married Elizabeth Warner on 12 April 1764, and an Ames in 1774, by whom he apparently had at least two additional children. Residence history: in Mansfield, Connecticut, to 1767; Lebanon, New Hampshire to 1788; Cornish, New Hampshire. Is mentioned in the will of his grandfather, Ebenezer Abbe, as the only surviving son and heir of his daughter, Mary Abbe Bingham, deceased. [Abbe, 22, citing Windham probate records, V, 513.] Was one of the signers to a petition to establish a Congregational Church at Cornish, 21 Nov 1798 [Abbe, 36] [BINGHAM.GED] Jonathan married Rachel Mudge on 16 Oct 1760.
