JAMES5 PERRY, M.D, (James,4 Nathaniel,3 Benjamin,2 Ezra1), born 12 Oct. 1767, died in Easton, Mass., 2 May 1825. He married in Norton, Mass., 9 April 1793, ADAH SHEPARDSON, born there 9 Dec. 1767, died in Easton 6 April 1841, daughter of Amos and Abigail (Pratt) Shepardson (Norton Vital Records).
He had black hair, dark eyes; possessed a keen intellect and was a prominent Easton physician, specializing in typhus treatment (D. H. Hurd, History of Bristol County).
A deed, dated 1 April 1818, shows that "James Perry of Easton" (his wife Adah Perry releasing her dower right) sold to Leonard Perry (his brother) for $600 certain Easton real property (Bristol County Deeds, vol. 116, p. 417). He died intestate and administration on his rather small estate was granted to his widow, Adah Perry, 5 July 1825 (Bristol County Probate). James married Adah Shepardson, daughter of Amos Shepardson and Abigail Pratt, on 9 Apr 1793 in Norton, Bristol, MA.139 (Adah Shepardson was born on 9 Dec 1767 in Norton, Bristol, MA 139 and died on 6 Apr 1841 in Easton, Bristol, MA 139.)
