Samuel7 was a sea captain, and lived at "Lund's Corner," Head-of-the-River, New Bedford. He m. 1st, Betsey Spooner, who d. Dec. 8, 1825, ae. 35. Issue: Nancy, Joshua and Lizzie. Of these children, Nancy m. a Shaw; Joshua d. with cholera at 10 or 12 years of age; and Lizzie d. in infancy.
Samuel m. 2d, Lucy Manchester, and moved to Albany, or Utica, N. Y., where he afterwards died, probably without further issue. [A History and Genealogy of the Descendants of William Hammond by Roland Hammond, 1894]
Samuel married Elizabeth Spooner. (Elizabeth Spooner was born about 1790 617 and died on 8 Dec 1825 617.)
