Hannah, b. 4 May 1689; d. in Sandwich 18 March 1744/5; m. about 1709 Seth3 Pope, born in Sandwich 5 April 1689, d. there 23 Nov. 1744, brother of John Pope who m. her sister Elizabeth. "Hannah Bourne" acknowledged receipt, dated 9 Dec. 1709, for her portion of £21. due her under her father's will (Barnstable County Probate, vol. 3, p. 54). She evidently married immediately after this date since her first child was born in the following August. "Seth Pope of Sandwich & Hannah his wife, daughter of Mr. Elisha Bourn," receipted 9 Nov. 1714, for their portion of her father's estate and "also [for] what did accrue to us pursuant to our sd father's will to be paid after the decease of the sd. Patience Bourn our Honoured Mother" (ibid., p. 152).

(1), in Sandwich, Silvanus4 Gibbs, b. there 20 April 1702, d. there in December 1749. She, we think m. (2), in Tolland, Conn., 4 Sept. 1757, Amasa West, son of Dea. Francis West of Stonington, Conn. (Charles L. Pack, Thomas Hatch of Barnstable, 1930, p. 114). 3. John. b. 25 Nov. 1716; d. in Sandwich 8 Feb. 1762; m. there, 23 Oct. 1734, Mercy4 Swift, daughter of Josiah3 and Experience (Nye) Swift. 4. Mary, b. about 1718, bapt. 1 May 1720. 5. Hannah, b. 25 April 1720, bapt. 1 May 1720; we suspect she m. Thomas West, by whom she had two daughters born in Sandwich; they were dismissed from Sandwich to the church in Dartmouth in 1752. 6.
