SILVANUS5 PERRY (John,4 Elijah,3 John,2 Ezra1), born 25 April 1766, died in Sandwich, Mass., 18 Jan. 1845 "aet. 79 yrs." (Freeman's History of Cape Cod, vol. 2, p. 154; Tbomas C. Perry, Note Book, p. 56). He married about 1789 ABIGAIL GIBBS, born in Sandwich about 1767, died there 5 Feb. 1845 (Sandwich Church records show "Abigail Perry d. 5 Feb. 1845, born in Sandwich, wife of Silvanus, d. aged 77 yrs., 9 mos.;" Thomas C. Perry, Note Book, p. 56, quotes "Miller John" Perry's Bible: Silvanus Perry's "wife Abigail Gibbs d. Feb. 11, 1845").
His father's will, dated 12 Feb. 1805, gives this son one-third the real estate, including the land "with house and barn he lives on;" one-third the personal estate and makes him co-executor. Silvanus died testate, leaving all real property to his son Heman.
The records of Sandwich First Church show that "Abigail wife of Silvanus Perry" was there baptized 6 Oct. 1805 and that "Jerusha, Phineas, Hannah and Abigail Gibbs Perry," children "of Silvanus and Abigail" were baptized 17 Nov. 1805.
