He married in Wareham, 25 July 1783, Hannah Perry, born in Sandwich 26 May 1764, died in Wareham 30 Jan. 1834, "aet. 70," daughter of "Miller John" and Bathsheba (Gibbs) Perry (The Register, vol. 115, p. 287, October 1961). Her father's will, dated 12 Feb. 1805, names "daughter Hannah Bourne" (ibid., p. 286).
This Benjamin Bourne served in the Revolution and in various posts in the Wareham township government. In 1819 he was appointed guardian of the orphaned children of his brother-in-law, Elijah Perry.
