JANE (twin), b. 14 Nov. 1730; d. after 31 March 1762; m. in Sandwich, 18 Nov. 1750, PRINCE4 TUPPER, b. there 24 July 1716, bapt. 16 Sept. 1716, d. there 5 Feb. 1798 aet. 81, son of Eldad3 and Martha (Wheaton) Tupper. During the Revolution Prince Tupper was arrested and imprisoned as a Tory in 1779. Freeman says he escaped and fled to Upper Canada. But the 1790 Census records him in Sandwich with a family of 2 males over 16 and 2 females. He is No. 14 in "Thomas Tupper and His Descendants" in THE REGISTER, vol. 99, p. 126, April 1945. They had six or seven children, of whom two married descendants of Lt. John1 Ellis (surname Tupper): Prince, b. 9 June 1766; d. in Sandwich 17 Aug. 1841; m. there, 9 March 1794, Grace6 Ellis, daughter of Malachi5 Ellis (#117); Ellis. b. 30 Nov. 1768; m. in Nantucket, 27 Dec. 1793, Eunice6 Ellis, daughter of Nathaniel5 Ellis (#118).
