General Notes:
Eleazer3 Bourne (Job,2 Richard1), born 20 July 1670, died after 26 Feb. 1745.
He married Abigail-----. Otis (op. cit., vol. 1, p. 112) believed that this Eleazer Bourne's wife was Lydia Hatch. The late Clarence A. Torrey's unpublished record of early marriages notes this, and also gives as reference a "Bourne MS" for the allegation that this Eleazer Bourne married Mercy Hatch. We find no original record of any wife except Abigail.
He was named among the heirs in the settlement of his father's estate and in the will of his grandfather, Andrew Hallett (supra). "Eleazer Bourn of Sandwich," for £10. conveyed to "my brother Timothy Bourne all my one third part of the cedar swamp that lyeth in partnership with my two brothers viz: Timothy Bourn & Hezekiah Bourn in the township of Plymouth'' 11 Feb. 1728/9 (deed witnessed by Ezra Bourn and Isaac Bourn, Plymouth County Deeds, vol. 24, p. 144).
Neither Eleazer nor his wife appear to have been members of the Sandwich First Church, though the Rev. Benjamin Fessenden listed Eleazer Bourne as one of the Heads of Families in 1730. The inventory of Hezekiah3 Bourne lists a "lot of land in Sandwich now Eleazer Bourne's," which suggests that the latter was still alive on 26 Feb. 1745. [The Rev. Richard1 Bourne of Sandwich, Mass. (c. 1610-1682) by Lydia B. (Phinney) Brownson and Maclean W. McLean, NEHGR 118-9, 1964-5]
Eleazar married Abigail [Unknown].
