Moses Perry was born on 20 Dec 1714 in Sandwich, Barnstable, MA. ^{(146)(10) (73)(72)} He died on 13 Nov 1811 in Yarmouth, Yarmouth, NS, Canada.^{(73) (146) (72)} He has Ancestral File number HSHT-MF. He moved his family to Nova Scotia, on the "little schooner Pompey" - the first ship of the season in Chebogue, Yarmouth June 9, 1761. It was a vanguard carrying 3 families from Sandwich, Cape Cod Perry, Landers, Ellis. Moses settled on Crawley’s Island, in Chebogue Harbour. In Jan. 1764 he had 9 head of cattle, 13 sheep and 6 hogs on 2 acres, but soon had more than 1000 acres, and moved to a section on Shirtleff’s Point called Rockville. On Tuesday 9 June 1761 the first vessel arrived [in Yarmouth harbor], having on board three families who all came from Sandwich Cape Cod -- Sealed Landers, Ebenezer Ellis and [the latter's brother-in-law] Moses Perry. (The Register, vol. 115, p. 271, October 1961) [NEHGS 121:133, April 1967]
